Robert Lopez is a Sr. Programmer Analyst for Geisinger's Epic System, responsible for three major areas: MyGeisinger (Epic's MyChart Application); Epic Ambulatory; and Production Support. In addition, EpicWeb and EMRLink are also systems that he occasionally becomes involved. Robert has been with Geisinger for eight years and is looking forward to retirement within the next four or five years.

Prior to joining Geisinger, Mr. Lopez was the founder and president of Management Information & Computer Services, Inc. who's company sold computer hardware, provided computer repair, managed several Information Departments for clients, and developed software packages that are still in use today.

While contributing to MICSinc, Mr. Lopez became associated with the Army National Guard and became one of the Army's oldest Abrams M1-A1 Tank Commanders before being reassigned to the Intelligence Analyst community and acquiring a Top Secret Clearance.

He was also an MIS Director for a fortune 500 company and 2 Pennsylvania Courthouses, Schuylkill and Susquehanna Counties.

Prior to his civilian occupations, he was a member of the United States Navy where he first learned EAM (Electrical Accounting Machine) operations, operating computers, computer programming and acquired his management expertise. He is father of five children, thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will also celebrate his 43rd anniversary with his lovely wife Edna.
